Who can register with Sensei ?

Sensei brings together a large community of independent hotel and restaurant operators. The majority of these self-employed people therefore have micro-business status (often also called freelance or auto-entreprise). 

Our talents’ areas of expertise are as varied as the projects proposed by our customers, and can include marketing, cuisine, sommellerie, in-store entertainment…

 Registration on Sensei is free, and our Mentor Experts will be delighted to discuss the platform and your services with you !

The only requirement to register with Sensei is that you have your own company (auto entreprise, EURL, SASU, etc.). If you are a salaried employee only, you will not be able to register, except in the case of “portage salarial”.

What do I do if I’m not self-employed ?  

Don’t panic, it’s easy ! The micro-business status is the simplest and most flexible in France today, and it’s very quick to set up : creation is fast (in 10 minutes), free and 100% online.

You can manage your entire status online, and close it at any time. This status also entitles you to social protection and pension contributions above a certain sales threshold.

As it is possible to combine auto-entrepreneur status with salaried, student or unemployed status, micro-entrepreneurship can be a very good source of additional income, or even become a full-time activity !

Can I have micro-business status and still be an employee at ?

Good news : whatever your status, you can also have a micro-business status and carry out missions with Sensei. 

If you are unemployed…

As a micro-entrepreneur, you keep your unemployment benefits, which will be paid to you by an organization approved by the RSI. Your benefits will gradually decrease only if your income increases. It is therefore necessary to inform your Pôle Emploi advisor of your new micro-entrepreneur status.

If you are an employee…

 If you are an employee, you will remain affiliated to the general social security scheme, and your tax return will be separate. Simply check your contract : some companies impose exclusivity clauses on their employees, and it will be necessary to discuss this with your managers to obtain their agreement.

Do I bill the customer directly ?  

Sensei’s teams will be with you from start to finish, interfacing with your customer to ensure that the project runs smoothly.

Sensei will be responsible for invoicing the client and ensuring that you are paid for the work carried out.

Do I need to be available full-time ?

Absolutely not ! With Sensei, we’re committed to offering hospitality professionals greater freedom and flexibility, enabling them to carry out assignments according to their availability, from one day a month to 5 days a week.

When you register, you will be asked for your level of availability, so that our experts can take it into account when new assignments arrive.

Many of Sensei’s Mentors are also salaried employees, and therefore carry out occasional assignments during their rest periods.

What’s a mission like on Sensei ?

Throughout the mission, a member of the Sensei team works with you to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Coaching and mentoring sessions need to be as effective, productive and enjoyable as possible, so upstream preparation is essential.

All exchanges and sessions take place online, on a secure video-conferencing platform. Exchanges are recorded, enabling customers to access the replay and review session content at any time.

The contractualization and written exchanges with the customer are managed by the Sensei teams, allowing you to optimize your time and use it only to advise and provide all your experience and added value.
